About this training

Ability Consultants implement Positive Behaviour Support “PBS”.

PBS is the implementation of behaviour science with the democratic rights of people with disability at the forefront. The science of behaviour is broader than PBS and includes methods of behavioural control which are not socially valid in a democratic context.

In the spirit of freedom and free expression, we support the study of ideas and recognise that some of those ideas will not be ideas that we agree with. We value the free expression of diverse viewpoints, especially when they carry scientific weight and especially when they might empower more effective services to the people we serve.

It is important to note that if you choose to explore this content, we encourage you to do so with a critical mind and with the human rights of the people we support at the forefront of your mind.
