How to take part in "Elevate"

  • Join our team!  
  • Log in and work through our self-paced training courses anytime!
  • You'll also receive a recurring invitation to our live training and peer support sessions — join when you can!
  • You can also find these live training sessions here at "Elevate" so you can watch when it suits you. 

What's included?

Evidence-based learning

Understand the science behind positive behaviour support and keep up to date with current practice.

Peer support 

We offer fortnightly peer support sessions, giving PBS practitioners the opportunity to learn from each other's expertise and experience.

Early support

In addition to orientation and Base Camp, new team members can also join weekly support sessions with our L&D team leader.

PSR Training

Fortnightly training centred on our Periodic Service Review as well as the NDIS Capability Framework and the Essential 10.

Industry leaders

You'll hear from experienced practitioners and undertake training developed by industry specialists.

Specialist sessions 

Join live training sessions on trending and pressing topics such as TelePBS, Functions and Formulations and more.

Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) 

Dive deeper into ABA by completing a nationally recognised qualification offered by the Autism Partnership Foundation. 

This 40 hour course is delivered online and is available to the public.

Empowering Leadership University

The empowering leadership principles influence our culture, processes and leadership approach.

Complete this course to enhance your knowledge and strengthen your leadership capabilities, you'll also become a certified ELU leader. This course is open to the Ability Consultants team.

Live training & mentoring

Live, online training and mentoring includes:
  • PSR Training Sessions (fortnightly on Thursdays)
  • 1-1 Mentoring with your Team Leader (weekly)
  • Peer Supervision (fortnightly on various days)
  • Nikki's Weekly Group Sessions (for new practitioners)

Do I need to complete Base Camp or other courses before taking part in Elevate? 

No — Elevate opportunities are available to you from your very first day!

I'd like to do training that isn't listed in our Centre for Excellence. What are the next steps?

We support every member of our team with ongoing training and development. You are welcome to find courses which fit your learning goals, add these to your Individual Learning and Development Plan (ILDP) and discuss with your Team Leader at your next 1-1.
